WreckinEyez is an island music group playing the hottest reggae, groove, and nahenahe music with a fresh new sound.
Started back in June of 2004 for a one time graduation party, six members, Kama, Oni, Josh, Joan, Kaipo, and TJ, set out to put a set together. After the successful show and the realization that we could have something great here, the members decided to stay together and see where the band could take us.
It was then time for us to set on a name for the group. TJ came up with a strong name and it stuck, WreckinEyez.
A little time later Kaipo and Oni left the group to do their own thing. which had changed the group in a new and exciting direction.
A second Keyboardist that Kama and Josh knew from before had joined to give the group a more rounded sound and the ability to do songs from the 70’s and 80’s. Rob had worked near where Kama and Josh went to school and had played in a group with Zach before called Final Touch.
The second shift that took the group by storm was the addition of two brothers who added the voices that the group couldn’t do before. Fano and Marcus Sagapolutele added the type of vocals the group was looking for all along. They are the single biggest reason why the group does songs from the 70’s. The vocals in WreckinEyez now are unmatched and is something you have to experience first hand.
Now the stage show is even better with the three front men giving it all out. Marcus also dances with an Uso Club and directs routines on the stage… when the band isn’t skanking to their own music.
This is the WreckinEyez you now know today. WreckinEyez continues to make sweet island reggae music with a little touch of the 70’s.
